MSU-Main Seizes Online Partnership Opportunities

JPIA MSU-Main graced partnership opportunities with other JPIA local chapters and organizations. These local chapters and organizations were the University of Santo Tomas-JPIA, the JPIA Liceum of the Philippines University-Manila, the Adamson University College of Business Administration-Student Council (CBA-SC), and the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and Auditors-United Incorporated (JPIAA-U).
The local chapter served as a primary partner to UST-JPIA ‘s pioneer webinar event entitled “Chrysalis 2021: Transitioning into Digital Auditing” which was held on October 23, 2021. The event covered the latest auditing approaches and techniques in the new normal. Particularly, the event tackled the following: (1) the SEC’s Journey in Drafting the Rules on Digital Assets, (2) Reshaping Internal Audit System in the Digital Environment, (3) the Traditional versus Digital Approaches in Auditing, and (4) the Experiences and Challenges in Auditing Practice.
On February 5, 2022, the local chapter also became one of the five official partners of JPIA LPU-Manila in their event entitled, “Turnips: Turn Investments Primarily to Stocks.” The two campsite speakers during this stock expo webinar were Mr. Jed L. Velarde, CLDP, and Mr. Zane Pulubarit who were both coming from the campsite guest and sponsor – the COL Financial Group, Incorporated. This event entails a basic and complex understanding of stocks.
Moreover, the local chapter served as one of the gold partners to Adamson University College of Business Administration – Student Council (CBA-SC) during their event held on March 27, 2022. The event served as the first Adamson Business Conference entitled, “Meliorem: Ameliorating the Trailblazers of the 21st Century Business Leaders.” This event aimed to provide the delegates with opportunities to achieve academic excellence and prepare them for professional excellence in the corporate setting. Particularly, the speakers talked about bringing oneself into professional development, building resilience, and escalating leadership in the context of crisis, and crypto business.
Furthermore, the local chapter
became a platinum partner of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and
Auditors-United Inc. during their second National Academic Summit entitled,
“Tanyag 2022: Return of the Bold and Great” on May 14-23, 2022. This event
intends to showcase the skills, wit, and competence of different accountancy
and auditing students in the Philippines through technical sessions, quiz bees,
and case studies while upholding the values of integrity, and camaraderie.
Additionally, JPIA MSU-Main also became a participating school by joining and
sending two teams for the taxation cup of the event. Ms. Omelhaya Comadug, the
Local Chapter Vice President for External Affairs, garnered as well a special
award as the Most Outstanding Coordinator.
