The annual charter day of Iligan City which served as the 67th Araw ng Iligan was successfully celebrated by Iliganons last June 16, 2017, at the Anahaw Amphitheater, Iligan City through the initiative of the Local Government and administration of the city Mayor Celso G. Regencia. Despite the threats and reverse that the city government has been receiving because of this terrorist issue, it was not a hindrance or reason for Iligaonons to not pursue celebrating their annual event. It was said to be a grand triple celebration and a 3-day activity but it was extended until June 17 and 18, 2017. Activities were held through massive and tight security measures implemented by the law enforcers of the city of Iligan.

With this annual event, Michaelis had been able to show their participation in this kind of community involvement activity through the games being held specifically, in the field of football game during the 67th Araw ng Iligan Football Festival. The Michaelite participants or players of the football game were all college students of different courses and were accommodated by the Department of Student Affairs head, Mrs. Sheryl Aruta. The game was being held on June 17 and 18, 2017 at the Global Football Field, Suarez, Iligan City. Fortunately, with the determination and courage, the sportsmanship of Michaelites that they had showcased upon playing the game has been paid off and worth playing. Michaelites again brought pride to SMC as they took the spot of being the 3rd runner-up in the 67th Araw ng Iligan Football Festival.

According to Mrs. Aruta, Michaelites are always willing to look forward to joining or participating in this kind of community involvement activity throughout the upcoming years.

My SGV Internship Story By Rohaina Dansal While May 2022 was the best month for others like the CPALE passers, it was the contrary for me. I lost two of my loved ones within that month. On top of that, the month of May was the final weeks of our 2nd semester in 3rd year. Things were really busy with all the upcoming exams, research paper defense, and complying requirements. There was even no time to breathe because we had to proceed to our summer classes with full units. During summer classes, while my batchmates were already talking about their target agencies and offices for our OJT requirement in the next semester (August), I didn't even worry about it.  They say when you lose something, God replaces it with good things. During our summer classes, the in-charge professor for our OJT messaged our batch GC an invitation letter from SGV for their SGV NLIP 2022. He said anyone can try to apply on the given link but only 10 will be chosen from our school. Upon reading it, I ignored i...
