Ms. Nur-Hafeiza Jannah I. Abinal, CPA, from batch premium, aced the 5th spot in the results of the nationwide Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) given on May 23-25, 2022.

Miss Abinal is the first summa cum laude in the Department of Accountancy and the second in the history of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA).

With a CGPA of 1.10, she was also the Class Valedictorian of the Batch Fidem and graduating class of 2022 during the hybrid 56th Commencement Exercises of Mindanao State University held on July 21, 2021, at the International Convention Center. 

Along with Ms. Abinal, Mindanao State University-Main Campus’ Department of Accountancy produced a total of twelve new Certified Public Accountants in the May 2022 CPALE out of the seventy-one takers from the different batch, namely: batch Royalties, batch Trustees, and batch Premium.

These successful passers and new CPAs were the following: Ms. Normallah C. Abubakar, CPA, Ms. Hazel O. Acquiatan, CPA, Mr. Abdul Barri I. Gato, CPA, Ms. Mumtadj A. Usman, CPA, Ms. Iscandar P. Disamburun, CPA, Mr. Nurol Assiqin D. Marohombsar, CPA,  Ms. Maisah M. Mustapha, CPA, Mr. Mamalodin D. Musor, CPA, Mr. Al-Fayed N. Najer, CPA, Mr. Moh’d Hasan M. Pantao, CPA, and Ms. Norbeyah A. Usman, CPA. 

The May 2022 CPALE unveiled a national passing rate of 22.29% or 990 out of 4,442 takers across the country. This is higher than the two board exams in October 2019 CPALE and October 2021 CPALE with a national passing rate of 14% and 19% respectively.

[MSU NEWS] MSU-Main SSG Ratified its By-Laws

  MSU-Main SSG Ratified its By-Laws By Rohaina Dansal   Photo by MSU-Main SSG Mindanao State University-Supreme Student Government (MSU-SSG) successfully presented its ratified Constitutional By-Laws (CBL) on February 16, 2023, at the MSU International Convention Center. A notable change during the presentation is the transition of MSU-SSG to a parliamentary system of governance. The presentation invited all MSU-SSG officers, MSU-Main officials, Colleges and Departments Student Councils, and all university student organizations. According to SSG, the event will engage the invited stakeholders in meaningful discussions that will bring them together. It will help them strengthen their critical thinking and finalize the said CBL of the organization, which will help protect the rights of the whole campus student body.
