Mindanao State University held its opening program for obtaining a Seal of Approval for Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for all the select degree programs of the university's different colleges at the International Convention Center on March 13, 2023.

The evaluation for the Certificate of Program Compliance for Mindanao State University-Main Campus was conducted by the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MBHTE-BARMM). The team was headed by the Director General of the Higher Education of MBHTE-BARMM, Marjuni M. Maddi, and supported by the invited evaluators from some academic institutions in Mindanao. The MSU officials and some unit heads, college deans, faculty members, and staff of various MSU units also graced the event.

An invocation by Dr. Mohammad Jihan M. Macarambon from the Office of the President commenced the opening program. This was followed by opening remarks from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amerkhan G. Cabarro. The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alma E. Berowa, also delivered an inspirational message.

The highlights of the opening program also took place, such as the presentation of evaluators and counterparts by program, which was then followed by a cultural presentation. The opening program was concluded through a message from the MSU System President, Atty. Basari D. Mapupuno, and another message from the Director General of the Higher Education of MBHTE-BARMM, Marjunni M. Maddi.

COPC is issued to specific degree programs offered by state universities and colleges (SUCs) and local universities and colleges (LUCs) that fully comply with CHED's policies, standards, and guidelines after undergoing rigid inspection and assessment by the accrediting team. It can be recounted in 2021 that 41 academic programs of MSU-Marawi passed the accreditation conducted by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACUP). Obtaining a seal of approval will ensure the continuance of MSU in providing quality academic programs and services to all its constituents. The evaluation of the documents of the participating programs and offices concluded on March 16, 2023.

He said anyone can try to apply on the given link but only 10 will be chosen from our school. Upon reading it, I ignored i...
