Decked out in their colorful, enchanting, and intricately delightful costumes and dresses are talented Michaelites who dazzled and captured the attention of the crowd as they performed and gave tense on stage and created an atmosphere of excitement and bubbling enthusiasm. They’ve drawn a mixture of looks of dapper, promising, and frolicsome Michaelites that create meaningful and impressive motions and precisions on stage as they’ve showcased their God-given talents and potential to everyone.

This was during the third and last day of ‘Kasaulogan 2017’, which was the variety show of the different societies of Michaelites that added spark and beauty to the said event. This has been as well considered a great highlight of the painting of the success of ‘Kasaulogan’ or the 102nd founding anniversary of St. Michael’s College as an institution of faith, excellence, and service.

The different societies that marked a pleasing performance were the Basic Education Society, the Chorale Society, the Brass Band Society, the Likhang-Buhay Theatre Arts Group, the Likhang-Buhay Folkloric Dance Group, and even the merging society of different colleges. It was merely a friendly show of the extraordinary talents of Michaelites.

The show was started by the singing of the national anthem that was spear-headed by the brass band society. The show began with the impressive performance of the brass band society as they showcased their skills in playing and creating mellifluous or soothing sounds of different songs. It was then followed by the bubbly and lively performance of the Basic Education Society as they played well the “Matilda” musical show that painted smiles to the live audience.

The third performance was a song presentation given by Maica Ramayan of Grade 12 and Luke Padilla of Grade 11 as they serenaded the crowd with a relaxing song through their perfect pitches and tone of voice. Next, was the “Ultimate Michaelite Show” performance of the merging society of the different colleges, the Likhang-Buhay Theatre Arts group, and the Likhang-Buhay Folkloric Dance group. This is like a portrayal of a talent competition that is composed of judges and contains a set of productions such as a presentation of the different cultures within Mindanao in the fields of music ensemble, folk and traditional dances, and even interpretative song performances.

Lastly, the variety show was concluded with another song presentation from the College of Criminology, a performance by the Chorale Society, and the concluding presentation of all the societies who performed on the said show.

The overall performance was a blast, filled with splendid music and promising performances. Especially, the finale performance which almost made everyone join the upbeat performance as they rose and sang along together to a Christmas song that had just depicted a bubbly, enthusiastic, and perfect picture of a true Michaelite family.

[STORY] My SGV Internship Experience

My SGV Internship Story By Rohaina Dansal While May 2022 was the best month for others like the CPALE passers, it was the contrary for me. I lost two of my loved ones within that month. On top of that, the month of May was the final weeks of our 2nd semester in 3rd year. Things were really busy with all the upcoming exams, research paper defense, and complying requirements. There was even no time to breathe because we had to proceed to our summer classes with full units. During summer classes, while my batchmates were already talking about their target agencies and offices for our OJT requirement in the next semester (August), I didn't even worry about it.  They say when you lose something, God replaces it with good things. During our summer classes, the in-charge professor for our OJT messaged our batch GC an invitation letter from SGV for their SGV NLIP 2022. He said anyone can try to apply on the given link but only 10 will be chosen from our school. Upon reading it, I ignored i...
